Rates, deposit, mileage, insurance, cancellation: the rules that govern every MD Location rental.
These general terms and conditions of rental ("Terms") govern any vehicle rental entered into with MD Location, a SASU registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 108 437 450. They supplement the information available on the Our Services page and take precedence over it in the event of any contradiction. Any booking implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms.
MD Location reserves the right to refuse a rental if these conditions are not met.
Any booking request submitted via WhatsApp, phone or email is confirmed by our team and then validated by payment of a 20% deposit of the total rental amount, which reserves the vehicle for the agreed date. The balance is paid at pick-up. The final rental agreement is signed at that time.
Applicable rates are those communicated at the time of booking, expressed in euros, all taxes included. 200 km/day is included by default in every rental. Additional mileage packages are available (see Our Services); beyond that, any extra kilometre not covered by a package is charged at the rate in force communicated before departure.
Fully comprehensive insurance is included in the rate of every rental, at no extra charge. The precise terms of cover (excess, exclusions) are communicated with the rental agreement provided at pick-up.
A security deposit is required at pick-up; its amount, adapted to the category of vehicle rented, is communicated at the time of booking. In the event of damage, return fees, or a breach of these Terms, the deposit may be withheld partially or in full, up to the amount owed.
The vehicle is handed over and returned clean, with a full tank, at the date, time and location agreed at booking. A joint condition report is carried out at both pick-up and return.
The following fees only apply if the return conditions are not met; a vehicle returned clean, with a full tank, and on time incurs no additional fees:
Any costs related to a traffic offence, impoundment, or a tow made necessary by misuse of the vehicle are entirely the renter's responsibility.
Any booking may be cancelled free of charge up to 72 hours before the vehicle pick-up date. After this deadline, the deposit paid remains the property of MD Location. Any request for a change (dates, vehicle) is subject to availability.
In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, vehicle rental services provided at a specific date or period are excluded from the 14-day right of withdrawal applicable to distance contracts. Consequently, any booking confirmed and covered by payment of the deposit is firm, subject to the cancellation terms of Article 10 above.
The renter is responsible for the vehicle for the entire duration of the rental. They agree to use it with due care, to comply with traffic laws, and not to sub-let it, hand it over to an undeclared driver, or use it for purposes inconsistent with its intended use (racing, paid passenger transport, etc.).
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought as a priority; failing that, the French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.
