Is my income taxable?

Yes. Whether you act as a private individual or a professional, income generated by making your vehicle available through MD Location must be reported to the tax authorities.

An annual summary of your gross income to declare is made available in your owner dashboard.

Why does the amount to declare differ from what I actually receive?

The gross income to declare doesn't always match the amount deposited into your account. This gap is explained notably by:

— Management and service fees charged by MD Location, which are included in the gross income;
— Certain reimbursements excluded from taxable income when you're a private individual, such as compensation related to fuel, tolls, or damage found on the vehicle.

What are my obligations if my vehicle is registered in France?

If you're a private individual
Your income must be declared under the BIC category (Bénéfices Industriels et Commerciaux). Depending on the amount, you may also have social security obligations with URSSAF.
If you're a professional
This income must be included in your taxable result, your social security filings, and your VAT returns where applicable.

For more details on your tax obligations related to property rental, you can consult the resources made available by the French Ministry of Economy and Finance.
